I have these 2 surgeries 2 weeks and a few days ago and I have now come back to UK as i had it done in India, the operation went well (thank god). no infection caught. I am doing very well I held my baby yesterday no pain and am doing really well but the doctor told me not to take my dressings off till Wednesday next week but am dying for a good damn shower and he also told me that at the end of the day it was up to me cause i can judge my body better than any one.

I wondered if it was about time I took my dressings off and wear my clothes but obviousely I will put something on my stiches (which is nearly healed) to avoid my clothes material rubbing against my stiches. would you say it was safe? I had a shower once before but that was only an exception the doctor allowed since I was within hours going back to the hospital to get a new new dressings on.

am doing rather well and its those desolvebale stiches and mt skin is attached together already. please any advice.

You need to talk to your doctor about this. Since you had it in India, talk to your family doctor and do not go with the advice of those asked on YA.

I wouldn't wear dressings as long as you are 100% sure you have no more leakage.

But, talk to your doctor and continue your visits with him.

My friend has had both done too (at different times) and she tried to run before she could walk (so to speak) with her tummytuck.

I would try to have a good wash, rather than a bath or shower because you can soften the wound and stitches.

My friend tried to take her corset early with her tummy tuck, and ended up in a lot of pain (altho she had healed very well) so she then knew to keep her bodysuit on with her boob job for the 8 weeks and is now well healed and able to wear normal underwear.

Speak to your doctor if youre not really sure, but definately keep your bodysuits on for the recommended time and dont overdo it.

Tummy tuck & breast lift surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Usually it`s about ten days for a wound to heal properly.I would take advise from doc, then if god forbid anything does happen they can`t drop the blame back on you.
