If we discount Gibraltar -- and I think we can -- then the southernmost point of the UK is Green Island, a tiny islet off the southern tip of Jersey (Le Croc du Hurlé), in the Channel Islands.

Since Jersey isn't part of the UK, but a Crown Dependency (as are all the Channel Islands), the 1st answer is technically wrong. The southernmost point of the actual UK is Lizard Point in Cornwall.
