Which one is the better wood worker...

Of these two, Norm is really the only woodworker. Bob is the show host type and the talker.

A much better classic woodworker is Roy Underhill of the Woodwright's Shop show; hand tools all the way and a few gouges, cuts and bruises along the way.

That's not a fair question, Norm was a general contractor and studied mechanical engineering at the University of Mass. Amherst. Plus does the New Yankee Workshop going on 20 years. Bob Vila is nothing more than a actor and a pitchman for Sears. He has neither a contractor's license nor a trade union card. His wife, Diana Barrett, says Vila is not "a fix-it person. By the way, it's the man, not the tools that does woodworking, and Norm is the Man.

Norm is by far a superior woodworker. Bob is great at telling others what to do but I've never actually seen him make anything himself. Norm has knowledge that surpasses even the most skilled woodworkers out there.

Bob Villa is a show host only--not a woodworker. He is also the most arrogant creep I ever met but that's beside the point. Norm is a guy with $200,000.00 worth of tools at hand at any project you see him on. The tools do his work, not him. I'm not impressed by those two guys.

Bob VILA, as he spells his name, is not a cabinetmaker. Norm Abram also studied mechanical engineering.
