They do most of their thinking in AM?

your question is a bit loaded.

as a positive thinking Brit think the Iranian pm is no worse than president bush or our PM - at least he had the b*lls to go to the states - and look at the treatment he got .

why do some people think that we in the west are the good guys - our governments have an abysmal track record for treatment of their own people and others. why should we have the bombs and not Iran - if we get rid of our own then we can comment.
why are some people up in arms over his comments about the holocaust from the Jewish point of view - there were more non Jews killed in the camps and in slave labour than jews - if genocide is wrong( which of course it is) then why isn't the west stopping the israelis from killing the palestinians

get off your pedestal and stop assuming that the west is in the right here - if we are such do gooders then why don't we help the countries that have no oil.

what's the saying - 'people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones'

Most of the Iranians are illiterate. It is a poor country.Religious fanatics rule the country.Iran PM himself is a religious fanatic. The people are religion bound. They consider PM equal to their religious head or even God.If some people do not like PM,they are afraid of open expression. There is no freedom for press /expression in Iran and the West will not be unable to understand the situation .

This is a difficult question to get an accurate answer to. As Piston pointed out, asking ex-pat Iranians what they think of Ahmedinajad is going to lead to a fairly universal answer - they all hate him.

However, if you go to Iran and ask Iranians, you won't get much further, because generally, Iranians are very wary of expressing negative sentiments towards their leader. Like most regimes in the area, the Iranian regime relies upon intimidation to stop people getting too "democratic".

Nevertheless, rebellion is bubbling away just under the surface in Tehran among the country's vast number of students, who feel that Ahmedinajad is guided by his own ego, and a small cabal of corrupt and religiously extreme ideologues (much like Bush).

That is not to say that they want America to bomb their country though. As nasty as their own leader might be, they have plenty more legitimate reasons to hate the Americans (and British). If you doubt that, click on the link below.

Ultimately, Iranians are just like the rest of us. They want to live in peace in a country run by someone who has their interests at heart, and not the interests of a tiny ruling elite.

Iran could do without Ahmedinajad just as much as the USA could do without George Wanker Bush.

This is not a fair question regarding American Iranians. It's like asking American Cubans what they think of Castro. They fled because they supported the regime that was deposed. Many Americans like to believe people flee their countries because it's oppressive, but more likely they are ostracized politically. The same thing could happen in this country too.

I worked with several in Orange County Ca. that hate the current government. They were part of the group that left the country after the fall of the Shaw so I don't know how typical they are.

I've read that the majority of them hate him and that they like to imitate us and western ways. They seem to dress less like other middle-easterners, and more like us, and on some TV interviews, some have said the PM does not speak for them. I don't know if this is true, but if it is, why don't they dump him?

The same as us. They, too, have a retarded conservative leader who needs to shut up. They'll dump him in the next election. We reelected our retard.
