If that's what you want to draw, why not? Who knows - some day you could become a medical illustrator!

There is no reason on earth for you to examine "why" you want to draw something.
It doesn't matter why you want to draw them. Maybe you just think they're cool, in sort of a horror/fantasy-movie way. The point is there's nothing wrong with drawing them. They are inanimate objects, and there is no more moral or psychological implication in the choice to draw skulls than in choosing to draw dinosaur skeletons, trees, or apples in a bowl.
There's an added benefit. Drawing skulls will absolutely help you to draw better faces (I'm sure you'll figure out why, if you haven't already). Go ahead and draw skulls until you're sick of drawing them.
I'll just add one caution, which I wouldn't have had to think of except for the advice of the so-called teacher on this thread---if you are currently in school, and you have a politically-correct fraidy-cat nanny-stater busybody of a teacher, who starts getting freaked out about the skulls, you'd better draw them only at home until you're out of that school. There is a certain type of neurotic control freak that becomes tyrannical and hyper-judgmental when given the least bit of authority over others. The people behind the "zero tolerance" rules, and the ignorant teachers who think pictures of weapons or death are the same as real weapons and murders, are the people I'm talking about. Once these folks decide your THOUGHTS are a threat, they won't stop until they've destroyed you.
So just draw fluffy bunnies and rainbows and similarly safe things for those people. That will assure them you're a good worker bee, and they'll give you good grades and leave you alone. :D

um, ya go for it!! If thats what you're interested in!!! You could also draw skeletons once you get the skull down or if you get bored with it. Then you could work with muscles in the body! If you like to draw that sort of stuff you may be interested in medical illustration here's a site to give you some info on it, http://www.clark-illustration.com/
Good luck! And keep drawing whatever it is that you want to draw!! Who cares what it is!

Personally I have never cared for skulls, but this is America,or Amexica I should say.If you want to draw skulls then go ahead.Exercise your freedoms while you still have them.Who knows, with all this "hate crimes" legislation you may be arrested for doing so in the not too distant future. The thought police may get you for some fabricated "hatecrime".They may say that your drawing was you invisioning what your next victim would look like after you poured the acid on them or some similar lunacy.OK...I'll end my rant now,,,have a nice day.

Ok, just first get a picture of the skull, and keep the picture mentally in your head. And start drawing on the paper as if the skull was right there to the paper and your just tracing it.

skulls can be very artistic to draw. If you are drawing them right, they can be quite a challenge & can make quite the statement. Even if you get sort of demonic with your drawings, every picture has its story. So don't worry, unless you are creeping yourself out of course :P

Well, as a teacher, we do get kind of freaked out if you draw them all over your work....skulls are alright, but it's the thoughts behind them that might need attention. Go ahead and draw them but think about WHY you are doing it.

Ya it's o.k., I love drawing them & have a seperate portpholio for them, demons, fantasy, etc., my other book has the more mild art that won't offend certain people-it gives a good "impression" on you if you do so, (When I had just 1 portpholio, I met the hard rock band "Tesla" & they was offended by my demonic art!-"What's with all the devil sh*t?!"
