I've never used them, so I'm not sure, but I would expect that if, after 4 days, you're not feeling relief, you should see a doctor. You might also want to try an ear candle, which I think is available for purchase at some health-food stores.

Even a worst case should only take 20 or 30 minutes. Your brand is probably peroxide based, which is OK for light cases of wax buildup.

The secret, according to a Doc who does the work, is to use liquid stool softener instead. It easily dissolves the wax, and is readily available at drug stores.

You also need an ear syringe, some tepid water (hot is not good), and a towel, bowl, or sink to catch it all.

As a kid I had many ear operation and my ears still don't drain right and get wax build up. I use peroxcide once a week to keep my ears clean. If it hurts I suggest to go in to a Ears nose throat specialist. He/She can go in a suck out all the gunk. Its a little pain full (not bad) but afterwords man can you hear. Pressure is all gone. I spent 75 bucks on my last visit. It helps to tell them you don't have any insurance. Most doctors office work good deals over cash. Good Luck

This will only soften the wax. To remove it you need to flush your ears once you are done with the drops. Also you need to be sure that wax is what is causing that pressure feeling.

I think after the 2nd day. But have you gone to a specialist? My goddaughter had build up and we took her to an eye ear and nose dr and they took the wax out painlessly and quick I might add. She was 5 yrs old, the noise scared her that they strapped her down to do it but then she started laughing cause it didnt hurt, it was just loud!
