Please, no "Red Lobster" or "Anthony's" answers, and I'm already familiar with the Fish Market as well as Rubios.

The place near the Maritime Museum is an Anthony's...I like Pt. Loma Seafoods for casual but am looking for more of a sitdown restaurant. Thanks for your answers so far.

Fish House Vera Cruz in San Marcos is a little known gem with reasonable sea food and inviting atmosphere and it even has a fish monger. Great place for a sit down meal.

Oh, I live in San Diego! I love Anthony's Fish Grotto in San Diego, near the harbor area. They have the best food! =) Oh Ventura! Oops, I was thinking Harbor, There is a really good restaurant called Seaward fish & Chips. I've eaten there twice and it's great! =)

I cannot think of anything in my entire life that has been so over rated as the lobsters in Puerto Nuevo.

I wouldn't eat another one if someone paid me.

Try the Fish Market in Del Mar by the race track or along Harbor Drive next to the Midway.

Downstairs at the latter is casual.

Upstairs is upscale.

Cant think of the exact name of the restraunt but it is at the San Diego Harbor by that little Ship Museum where the ship from the Master and Commander is at. Its a restraunt that is hanging over the water.. Great Shrimp :)

Most San Diego concierge's recommend 'Oceanaire' in the Gaslamp. 4th and Jst. Ive never eaten there but I trust their judgement. I prefer fried fish from the Tin Fish on the Imperial Beach pier.

King's Fish...Tin Fish in Imperial Beach (fish tacos)...if you really want some good stuff, cross the border and roll over to Puerto Nuevo and get some fresh lobster.
