Ok. So Nebraska gave up 49 points to USC last week. True it's USC and they're the best team in the country. But then this week the Huskers gave up 40 points to BALL STATE!! And, even worse, both games were in Lincoln!! The offense is fine, as they put up 31 points against USC and 41 in their survival of Ball State, but the Defense can't do a thing! If you litteraly watch each play, their defense is missing tackles and giving up big plays left and right. I guess its better to have a great offense and a terrible defense as at least their 3-1, whereas Notre Dame is the opposite with no offense and a good defense, and they're 0-4. Still, what's wrong with the Blackshirts?!

Not to sound mean but this isn't 1995 and Tom Osbourne is not the coach, he is representing the 3rd district of NE. Bill Calahan is a joke of a coach and in my book is not fit to be a college or NFL coach. Granted I like the fact that he is trying to make Nebraska player more NFL ready by not having a Pro Option offense, but he is a horrible recruiter and a horrible game time coach.

I totally agree.. The Blackshirts not even playing like they should. Watch the game against Ball State and they missed tackles left and right. Also the Ball State defense wasn't any better either.. What saved the game was Sam Keller. He showed that he can pass the ball long and short..His receiver's caught some tough passes thru out the game... Those 2 sacks that the offensive line gave up I was beginning to wonder if the offensive line was going to help Keller out or not.. Now they just need to buckle down and get their defense better and also work on their turnovers. They had one to many turnovers again.. Tough game next week with Iowa State..

when week 3 or 4 comes around, you find out who a team is. the blackshirts have no defense. but the character of the team showed when they came back and won against ball sac st. they will finish behind the sooners this year, but they are still a good team.

Some times when a team is beaten badly, as they were last week, they just lose it. The enthusiasm just goes away. I think that is part of Notre Dame's problem. They have become losers in their own minds. They expect to lose and they do.

i think you're giving the offense too much credit. 40 points against ball state doesnt mean anything, and most of the 31 points agains SC were at the end when the game was already over.

They went away from smash mouth Tom Osborne football. They should have kept Solich and never hired stupid Callahan. If Osborne was still coaching, they would have shoved USC right off the point of attack. It was sad to watch :(

Their defense?

Least you're 3 - 1 and you're not named Notre Dame, =D
