Hi! Can anyone tell me a good (free) MYSQL text editor that has syntax at least syntax highlighting and text folding.

Correct me if I am wrong but text folding in my understanding is the ability to hide lines of codes in a block, while word/text wrapping is when the editor places the preceding words on the next line instead of extending the work area indefinitely. Still, thank you for your suggestion and I will try it out.

Yes, all windows version PCs have built in text editors known as "Note Pad" and "Word Pad" they can both be used to open .txt files but only Word Pad can be used in making stylish text. Note Pad only uses a small size arial font.

A very compact & excellent text editor i am using is notepad2. It is a freeware.

If you want full featured editor then try PHP Designer (free)

Which has syntax highlighting for many programming languages.
