Beats me, I answered a question the other day where someone said that Mourinho was going to be the first premier manager sacked this season, I mocked and said that it was going to be Jol. Next morning, guess what.
The fact is that nothing really should surprise anyone about the premier league, there is just so much cash involved that these managers would eat shut just to keep their jobs because where else are they going to get that kind of cash. OK a few of them will earn big money anywhere, but for some getting a position in the premier is like winning the lottery, and integrity goes out the window take it for a year or two, if they are lucky, and they can retire comfortably and talk about it on Sky for the rest of their lives.
Take Mourinho, they are talking about 20 MILLIONS as a pay-off, considering what he had to work with, I think he should have won a double at least, but I know he ain;t going to get that kind of money anywhere else. So as far as feeling sorry for Jol, forget it, feel sorry for the poor teacher or nurse, if you want to feel sorry for anyone, but even if Jol gets screwed, he is still going to be OK!

He's the best manager that we've had for a long while. He knows that although the board is ruffling feathers he doesn't have to leave because, with the current Director of Football (Commolli) set up neither Mourinho, or Ramos would come to Spurs.
You wouldn't mind if we tried a Jol Wenger swap would you?

I think Renoir is probably right ... and also the fact that if he does leave then he forfeits his huge pay-off. That is why Mourinho didnt leave.
He wouldn't have got all those millions if he walked would he, maybe Jol is waiting for the same thing to happen... and the sooner the better ....
at last for Defoe anyway...lol

He is, but by the skin of his teeth. He should walk away before he gets sacked.
