I think that every person is different. You will have teachers that will like you by who you are and will look at your strenghts. The ones that seem to like you because you are smart, might only be interested in looking good as teachers, because if they are good teachers and have the necessary insight and knowledge, will understand that everyone has different skills and capacity. Liking someone for who they are is a positive quality that not everyone possess, even parents can lack of. You should like yourself no matter what. If they can't see the incredible person you are, it's their problem. Never try too hard to be liked. The more you try, the more difficult it gets. Being liked kinda works better when using reverse psychology. Like yourself, the rest will fall in the right place, cause it's about attitude.
If someone doesn't like you, the best answer is: so?
No one is that important to depend on their approval; and there will always be those who think you are the greatest.

Teachers are there to teach you, not to be your friend. Like the person about me said, they don't think you hate them, they think you are shy and polite. If you have a question about the subject and are too shy to ask in the group, which many people are, by the way, .. just go up after class and ask them. You are there to learn the subject. If you need help to do that, tell them so. They don't hate you either.

Being liked is not something that you can obtain. It is earned. If they like you they like you, but if they don't, there is nothing you can do about it. I think what you really want to know is how can you go about not being shy. It is ok to be shy. It's ok to approach them and talk to them when the class is dismissed. That is a way of showing them who you really are. And finally, don't try too hard. Just be yourself. I am sure there are a lot of people out there that like you a whole bunch! Good luck.

first of all, u have to break out of ur shell if u wana get noticed... anyway, if ur really shy, then the best way would be talking to them one-on-one, either u get up ur seat and go to his/her desk, or talk to them after class/school... u shud start with simple small talk, like ask sumthing about the lesson or homework... (note: try not to ask too easy questions, they might think ur trying too hard for attention.... and dont ask every 3 minutes, u want them to notice u, not to get annoyed by u...) when they get to know u more, u shud b able to talk to them freely as a student AND a friend... (if thats what u wanted..) good luck!

What makes you think that? That teachers think you hate them. Did they say or do anything to have you think so?
I don't really see any way about this, other than mustering up the courage to talk to them. I'm sure they'd react kindly to you when they can tell that you're nervous when speaking to them.

why is this a question? teachers have hundreds of students over the life of their career....
if you want to get noticed, then you are either gonna have to talk up in class, or talk to the teacher after class....
the real question behind the question is why is it so important for you to feel that the teacher likes you and that for you to get noticed...

I think you should start with one teacher, your favorite, and talk to him/her. YOu don't have to do it in class. YOu can approach afterward. I know it's not easy, but start with discussing an after school activity they sponsor. If you get to school early, try to ask questions about homework or careers related to your favorite subject.
It's hard to come out of your shell, but it takes a huge effort from you first.
