As a matter of fact, I did smile when I read your question here. That's really neat. How did you know?
I met Crystal Gayle in Vegas once. Her hair literally went all the way to the floor. This was about 10-12 years ago, and I seem to recall some gray streaks in it then.
You know who really has beautiful gray hair, and I could see it coming on back in the early 80s, is Emmylou Harris, and she doesn't bother to color hers.

We saw Crystal Gayle at the Bluebird in Nashville on Wed September 19, 2007 and her hair was within 5 inches of touching the floor and it looked great...we have pictures!

The best hair color is Garnier Nutrisse. It's not as harsh on your hair, and it doesn't smell bad. If you're doing at home color only go 1 or 2 shades lighter at a time. Without bleaching your hair it's hard to get true blonde color. Good luck!
