I hope NOT.
Cause i woldn'T want ANY fan of football to defend and try to justify dheating on the part of ANY HC; team owner; player; referee; or any other individual hired by the NFL or any fan of football to aide and abet or be in collusion with the cheating.
I pray that Belichick is an isolated case of cheating and NOT the NORM and that he does some soul searching because he doesn't TRULY KNOW AND BELIEVE that he did wrong and imo, given the opportunity, i.e. continued coaching in the NFL or anywhere else, I believe that he'll cheat again but take more precaution so as not to get caught.
I don't know what the motivation was behind his "apology" but the first thing he did when he got caught was to try to JUSTIFY the cheating.
THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR WRONGDOING.
And rom what I've read from them that have been defending Belichick being caught cheating, is them trying to justify his action(s).
Again, being a FAN OF FOOTBALL...EMPHATICALLY, NO!
I wouldn't want those fans to defend Dungy or Cowher or ANY OTHER HC if he got caught cheating.
And to the fan that had the mental meltdown to say "Belichick is more important than they are...Dungy and Cowher don't have 3 Super Bowl wins as coach...", there is NOTHING about Belichick that makes him more important than any HC in the NFL or elsewhere.
If anything he is now another BLIGHT on the NFL and coaches EVERYWHERE In EVERY SPORT, especially in the pro ranks because he has raised the question of now when a team wins and especially if they are foutunate enough to have multiple winning seasons and championships and especially in if the winning seasons and championships are in close proximity to the other, DID THAT TEAM CHEAt?
That question will now ALWAYS be in the minds of TRUE FANS.
I don't view Terry C as a TRUE FAN OF FOOTBALL and I most certainly hope that he doesn't work in ANYCAPACITY with the NFL or ANY sport.
I sincerely pray that I'm wrong about Belichick and I sincerely pray that you that want to justify his action by saying that "everybody does it" is wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong.

What do they have to do with the Patriots?...I like them both, but the Pats are my team...Belichick is more important than they are...Dungy and Cowher don't have 3 Super Bowl wins as coach...
I think if Dungy or Cowher did this, they would have been fined and lost draft picks too...Whats the point?...You're not defending the Pats and Belichick, ARE you?...Every fan has their team...
UncleDaddy...You're an idiot...I AM a true fan...actually from Boston originally, but living in the south now...I have seen the worst of the Patriots(from the OLD glory days of the Patriots with Steve Grogan when they lost BIG to the Bears in the Super Bowl, to now)...and I do enjoy when the Patriots are too good for teams with fans like YOU...Hate to break it to you...THESE Patriots are that good...and you'll find out when they win the Super Bowl...
And you are naive to think that YOUR team hasn't tried to get an edge on their opponent by going around a rule...This incident is done and over with...and Patriot haters need to move on...

No. If Brady got hurt tomorrow and was out for the season most Pats fans would become some other winning teams fan.
Patriot fans are oppurtunists. Most ( not all ) jump on the "best" teams bandwagon and revert back when the Patriots are doing well.
I'm not a Pats fan. I hate them with every ounce of my person and have since 1978.
I'm also in Patriot country ( I live in Maine) and can't stand the Patriots.

Hell no, they wouldn't! But since it happened to the Pats, they want to act like it's no big deal. If Dungy got caught, Pats fans would be on this like stink on s**t!

Not a Pats fan.
But if Jimmy Johnson in the 90s, admitted to cheating the same way that Belichick did, I wouldn't defend any guilty party at all.
