Since they have the same density, the solid should not sink nor should it float on top. Instead, it willl suspended in the middle of the volume of the liquid chosen.

They form a great suspension. I am assuming that the solid is not a type that will dissolve in the liquid, the question does not state this. The solid will be suspended inside the liquid, it will not float or sink to the bottom.

You can see the answer to this in one of those plastic toys with a winter scene which you shake and snow appears to fall . This is a solid [particles] in a liquid that is slightly less dense to allow the flakes to fall slowly. If they were the same density the flakes would not fall
