The taxdollars being used to fund their compensation and the necessary tools for their work is all the support they need. If they are truly strong, then popular sentiment should have no effect on their overall psyche nor their ability to do their job. The military is not a spectator sport. However, the ineptitude and mismanagement amongst their superiors and commander-in-cheif are a much bigger factor in the troops' overall effectiveness and ability than any such popular sentiment back home.

Not supporting the war does not equal not supporting our troops.
And actually, wanting to bring troops home in order to stop them from getting killed seems like support to me.
And how do you even get ideas like this? Can you look past party politics and look at the big picture? America was a great country BECAUSE of differing opinions, not in spite of them. And now that Republicans and Democrats are just about the same thing anyway, party politics should really just go away, but it's not, it's just gotten more hostile. It's really ridiculous....
Who cares if the war is right or not anymore? Let's get a clear objective, accomplish it, and get them home.
Pulling out or staying in, it's just a matter of time before they unite under their common enemy - us - again. Why don't people in this country look at the possible consequences of things? I mean...really...

That suggested, how is having maximum of our protection stress in Iraq, making particular we at the instant are not attacked returned? We weren't attacked from Iraq. The 9/11 attackers got here from Saudi Arabia and experienced in Afghanistan and Pakistan. And with our protection stress slowed down in Iraq's civil war, simply by incompetence of their civilian management, al Qaeda is unfastened to establish shop exceptionally much everywhere else interior the international simply by fact they recognize we've not got the guy potential to bypass in after them. I recommend, we nonetheless have not got bin encumbered.

Look, I'm only going to say this one more time. Liberals support the Military, it's the president and his war we don't support. We want the troops to come home and so no more have to die in that mes over there that Bush as no idea how to get us out of.

That said, how is having most of our military in Iraq, making sure we are not attacked again? We were not attacked from Iraq. The 9/11 attackers came from Saudi Arabia and trained in Afghanistan and Pakistan. And with our military bogged down in Iraq's civil war, because of the incompetence of their civilian leadership, al Qaeda is free to set up shop almost anywhere else in the world because they know we don't have the man power to go in after them. I mean, we still don't have bin Laden.

No. If someone does not like the military the government has no right to deport them. That goes against the constitution. I do support my military and I am a liberal so don't assume that liberals do not support our armed forces. I just do not support this mission. How is supporting the troops and supporting the war the same thing? Explain.

so, because i do not trust the leadership or the goals of the leadership in the use of our military forces, you want to deport me? well, i would like to see you try. republicans will try any trick in the book to make themselves look like super patriots. everybody in this country supports the military. many, if not most have little use for this country's administration.

when petraeus gave his testimony, he was performing a political job, not a military one. it is the cic's job to do what he did. so if he caught hell for the inane testimony that he presented, he needs to talk to his boss.

his boss needs to remember something else, he works for me, not the other way around. and just like you i pay taxes. so don't tell me what to do. you can't have it both ways.

so....i'm not going anywhere. i am not being deported. but i tell you what, if you don't like what i say or feel, i'll hold the door open for you and your president. don't forget the immodium, jim.

While I think deporting those people is too much, so is the action of so many people.
They should read:
Losing bin Laden: How Bill Clinton’s Failure Unleashed Global Terror and Shadow War: The Untold Story of How Bush Is Winning the War on Terror by Richard Miniter, a fellow at the Hudson Institute.

Forms of Government:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_forms_of_government
While the U.S. is not a Democracy, nor has it ever been, it is a much better govenment that what most countries have. Even the other so-called democracies would not permit people to call names of their leader!
So, for all of those who call Bush names, for all those who oppose the war, but support the killing of 50,000 or so a year on highways and hundreds of thousands being killed by doctors every year, you can thank a Vet because you can be unworthy to be a citizen!

You mean like Haoi Jane-type not supporting the military? Then yes.
Our armed forces are the baddest mojo's on the planet and we all know it.
The people that give them orders....that's another story.
I seriously doubt ONE person would stand up and say NO to our military(save for Hanoi Jane of course).

When did Iraq, the country, attack us?

When did Afghanistan, the country, attack us?

The Hillside Strangler killed many people; should we have attacked Mexico?

John Gotti killed Americans; should we attack Italy?

Get the picture?

Also, there is a little piece of paper called the US Constitution which allows American Citizens the right to dissent and speak their minds.

Are you against the US Constitution? What kind of Commie are you? You should be Stripped of your American citizenship...

D'oht!
