It's none other than the '3 Little Pigs' though. Sure is one of the long time classic bedtime stories, which is close to being history though.

Cheers and have a nice week ahead :)

This story about a boy who was very small but he tricked a giant. The boy tricked the giant into trying to squeeze water from a stone, and the boy used cheese instead of a rock and got water to come out of the stone.

Rapunzel and Three Little Pigs were my favorites. I could recite Rapunzel without even looking at the book. I miss those days but I share them with my children.
Nice question!

My grandmother, Margaret Friskey, wrote children's books when I was growing up. Some of my favorite childhood memories were when she would be working on a new book, I would get in her big bed with her while she worked on the final drafts and have her read them to me and I would get to "critique" them or make suggestions...I'll always treasure those memories of her.

Hush little P&Ser, don't say a word
Yahoo's gonna send you a free light bulb.
And when that free light bulb won‘t light,
Yahoo’s gonna take away your free speech right.
If losing this right cause you to complain and nag,
Yahoo's gonna send you a free tote bag.
If that tote bag never arrives
Yahoo's gonna search your Q&A archives.
If they find any humor in there,
Yahoo's gonna give violations that are not fair.
If these violations increase,
Yahoo's gonna cause your account to cease.
What does the Yamster think he‘s won.
In seven seconds I have another one

The original stories that my mom made up off of the top of her head. (She was a very creative school teacher and was far better than any book!)

Nobody told me any stories, nor read them to me very often. Mostly, they made an egg nog for me. (Imagine that. A raw egg drink every night). They gave me a hug, and said to go to bed now.

Once, one of my big brothers read a few chapters of "The Wizard of Oz" to me every night, till we finished that book. I remember because he always pronounced the dog's name as "Two two" instead of "Toe Toe". I corrected him every night, but he still did it.

My dad used to come and read to me and my sis from a book called "Listening to the Great Teacher" which was all about Jesus and the lessons he taught...I loved those times...
