I never heard that before. Many animals dream. Some people who sleep soundly do not. Do you have any proof of that brash statement?

Define intelligence first. If you think only humans are intelligent than you have limited yourself quite a bit. Many creatures are intelligent in ways different from us. Dolphins, whales, apes ,even pets exhibit varying degrees of intelligence. I personally have observed cats and dogs exhibiting dream reactions while asleep. Movement, vocal displays etc, that certainly mimic behavior in human dream cycles. I don't know about lower forms, such as reptiles and insects. I think they may not have the brain development for more complex thought, or dreaming

I don't know about that....my dog, for instance, sometimes barks in his sleep, like he's chasing a rabbit or something in his dreams.

animals dream I used to watch my dog runnind and making expressions in her sleep, she must have been one smart canine
