I think I would ride a laser to Mars and spend a few days at the theme park there.

School: Students would all bring their imac virtuals to school( A computer which is the size of a pen which simulates a hollographic image. The memory can push trillions of bits per second and has capabilities greater than the human race.) Students would bring their next gen Ipods to school where they can download the teachers lessons into podcast. The students would use E-paper(wikipedia it) which is now cheaper than regular paper. There would be no white boards but usb compatible hallographics, a machine which allows motion and 3-D which can all be loaded onto USB Disk that can hold 6 terabytes. Students would roam the halls with floor conveyor belts and classes are videotaped and put on youtube.
TV: They would have a new TV that prodcast in 1080P(wont get better than that) but it is in 3-D. It can also be sent to your ichip. A chip placed by your eye(similar to sunglasses) that simulate images upto 72 inches widescreen.
Computers would be touch screen compatible. Blutooth is a thing of the past. Now you just place your camera/ cellphone on the machine which is held up through virtual gravity. And all Media clips will be transported on the computer and easily viewable. Wireless gets taken to a new level where electricity is also wireless.
Cars: Cars will be able to fly and have a specialized ground mode. They will run on self propelled motion(similar to the hamster on wheel) and it just uses a bit of liquid hydrogen.
Thats all i can think of for now.

Well,...the Mayans say the world ends on 12/22/2012...the odds that they are wrong are good, but...who knows.
If I did visit the future, say 3000 A.D. --- I'd almost certainly end up as a zoo exhibit. After all, they'd have no use for one as backwards as I would be and they'd treat me as a curiosity to be gawked at, I have no doubt.
Then again,...roaches may have inherited the Earth by then and grown to mammoth proportions. Don't believe that would be a good time and so I'd no doubt scurry around hiding from the killer, mammoth size, man-eating cockroaches.
Have a nice day.

all my friends would be dead
including you
I would be very depressed.
but
I would make new friends. New technology and other stuff would be so intense that I would probably go back to the family farm in Minnesota and try to do some kind of sustainable agriculture thing---growing my own food, living simply, organic everything. It is do-able. With enough blankets and pillows I can be comfortable anywhere. I would read a lot, and write.
