im fom Mass

today i was driving on the highway in the far left lane going 65-70 (limit is 65)

i was in the far left lane for five minutes

then i get pulled over

i didnt get a ticket but the first thing he says to me is are you ok? in a nice tone then he asks about the car behind me flagging me down and tells me to drive in the right lane and to stay the speed limit

i wasnt out of control at all going 65 to 70 on the far left lane

so what did i do wrong?

The left lane is for passing. If you are not passing, you should not be in the left lane.

your supposed to drive in the far right lane ,the left lane is for passing ,but this is a strange one ,i have never heard of them pulling anyone over and doing this before,i guess he was wondering about you or something,main thing here is you didnt get a ticket,but that was strange ,because they normally just dont pull people over to tell them this,good luck

The only thing I could figure you were in the "fast or hammer" lane and generally that lane is for us speeders, even if we are breaking the law. this prevents people from darting in and out of traffic.

I know in some states you can't be in that lane for a set length of time, and maybe you were in it for to long. I would find out.
