Hi,

Multiply the coefficients, the numbers out front.
When you have the same letter as the base, add their exponents together.

So 2y^3 * 5y^6 = 10y^9

2 y^3 x 5 y^6 = 10 y^9

2y^3*5y^6
=(2*5)(y^3*y*6)
=10y^(3+6)
=10y^9
