In all honesty, I don't think it matters. either one of you leaving would cause a sad situation, especially when there are children involved. If it didn't work, it didn't work, those things happen. Look at him moving near you as a blessing, the kids will have access to both parents all the time. Stop worrying about him trying to get back with you. I know you may be feeling guilty for hurting his feelings, but sooner or later he's going to come to accept that it just didn't work and start to move on...they all do.

Do you want your wife to leave you if you gain a lot of weight too?
You love her or her body. You help her to slim down if you really love her. Exercise together ?

Oh please , if he leaves because you gained weight then is he really worth keeping? does he have the same body he did when you married him ? how about his attitude obviously it's not the same attitude you married is it?.

If he's worried about your weight give him the run of the kitchen and a few cook / dietry books and say its all your's if you think I cant look after my own nutrition you do it for me.Then make him go for walks with you after dinner and give you more sex because that's also good excersize to lose the pounds. He'll soon grow up.

Only if your relationship is based solely on looks! If the weight gain is a problem, he should lovingly talk to his wife, perhaps offer to go on walks with her.

I guess that means i should leave my husband for losing his hair and gaining weight and having a beer belly. If i did something like that what kind of person would that make me. I love my husband more now then the day we got married and i wouldn't give him up for no one....Well maybe Brad Pitt !!!!

Depends whether there are young children involved. For men divorce usually means they lose their kids, their home and a large percent of their money. Not being attracted to the wife is, for many men, not reason enough to go through divorce hell.

It also depends on whether or not he can still get sexually aroused if he does choose to have sex with his wife. Men are visual creatures and they need visual stimulation to get aroused. Often what happens is, lack of attraction to the wife causes sexual dysfunctions like not being able to get or hold an erection or not being able to have an orgasm. Unlike women, men cannot have sex without being fully aroused.

If this is the case many men find other sexual outlets such as turning to porn and masturbation or, less likely, having affairs or visiting prostitutes.

I always told my wife, that if she got fat, I would leave her. She is 5'4 weighs 120 lbs. she constantly stays trim. I told her I mant what I said, and I still do to this day. I can't not stand fat women, I don't know why but I can't even be around them. So the answer to your question, is YES. I would......
