warez site are never safe. It install all kind of tracking cookie and spyware, at the very least.

Some may even infect your PC with malware.

But of course, bad cookies and spyware can be cleaned with may antispyware such as spybot. Malware may be harder to deal with.

Sometimes, cracked software may have some hidden malicious code embedded by the programmer that written those crack files, and this may be harder to detect

There's always a risk.

The best "warez" type process is uTorrent.

It's faster and safer. But you should still have a firewall and scan with Spybot.
