figuratively speaking, a pot of gold.

: )

in reality, it is an optical illusion created by the sunlight passing through water droplets in the clouds creating a prism effect allowing you to see the different colors based on the angle of the light.
hope this helps.

you can find out more by looking up the word PRIZM in Yahoo, or Google.

I thought that everyone knew that there was a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!! A rainbow is God's promise to mankind that there will never be another flood that will destroy the world. So--I believe that there is hope at the end of the rainbow.

The remaining part of a circular rainbow. In fact what we see is a part of the circular rainbow limited by the horizon.
If you mean what will remain if rainbow ends(vanishes), then a partly cloudy sky may be seen at the background.

More rainbow; despite the illusion that it comes from the earth and lands somewhere else, it's actually caused by water in the atmosphere; it's a circle of light in the sky formed by water suspended in the air which forms a prism layer.

Maybe love for the lost souls on this earth that need it, that crave it and are denied it?

Maybe peace for those that endure endless suffering and horrific experience - when many drip in wealth and selfishness.

Maybe God?

Maybe our dreams.
