I don't give a crap about them, but where I live, sports are the only things that matter.

Sport is life. Life is a competition.
I was never good at many sports but I love watching football and basketball. And I go out and try to do my best at the sport that I do do which is running. I always shoot for my personal best. It is entertainment. You could ask the same thing about Art or movies, or ballet, dance, theater, etc... It is all about what floats your boat. Its always good to have a wide variety of things that float your boat though. A spectrum is better then only watching one thing or doing one thing.
