If we are dependent on another, whether we like it or not, we come to be controlled by the other & have to dance to the other's tunes.

But outside that particular one, we are not dependent on anyone. So we can have our say. We show our pent up emotion on others & we tend to dominate!

This is human & natural till one becomes mature minded.

You care for them so much that you want to have them follow while you want to have them lead, thus you feel dependent upon them but at the say time empowered by them. It is a dualism. What makes you weaker can also make you stronger and vice versa.
