Whats the deal with them? They fired Willingham OK. He wasnt up to the Notre Dame standards of winning championships and being white. Weiss comes in with Willinghams players and still doesnt win a bowl game and now has the worst season ever in Notre Dame history and they give him an extension!!?? Hes had 2 years to get his own players and instead he gets an extension. Weiss has only proven to be an assistant coach nothing else and he is stinking it up in college so why do they give the guy an extension after being the 1st coach ever in Notre Dame history of 119 years instead of seriously being on the HOT SEAT???

The Irish aren't even the best winless team in the country. Colorado State owns that dubious honor.
About the best thing that can be said for the Irish right now is that they might be the best 0-4 team in the country ... might.
Right now the BGS Ratings have Notre Dame ranked 99th out of 120 teams, worse than Duke and Central Michigan but marginally better than New Mexico State, Army & Toledo and still significantly better than Rice, Temple and Florida International.
The good news for Irish fans is that they can't drop much lower, so it should be all good from here on in. Let's hope.

Did I miss something? Did Charlie just get another extension? And I thought that extension came after going to a BCS bowl game and he rewarded the school by going to a second.
I'm going to post the question now of how many BCS games has Ty Willingham coached.

Notre Dame has sucked for a long time. This is the most overrated team in the history of college football. When was the last time they won a bowl game? Ty Willingham is a good coach and should of been given more time to rebuilt this program. It's unfortunate that racism still exist.

One word "Clausen". You guys honestly think you can win with Jimmy Clausen? His big sister Stacey Clausen played a Tennessee and road the coat tails of all his wide receivers and never made it in the NFL. Then Rick a 3rd stringer at LSU went to TN and stunk it up. Who the hell thought Jimmy would be any different? The Clausen's must have one hell of a promoter.

The extension wasn't AFTER having the worst start in history...It was last season...BEFORE this season...
