d=rt
d=9t for the faster
d=6(t+1/4) for the slower
distance is the same for both
9t=6(t+1/4)
3t=3/2
t=1/2 hour
d=9(1/2)=4½ miles

Hello,

ds= 6*(t + 15)
df = 9*t so the distance is the same hence
6(t+15) = 9t or 6t + 90 = 9t so 3t = 90 and t = 30 minutes = 1/2

therefore df = 9*(1/2) = 4.5 = miles

Hope This Helps!!
