How beneficial is it to double major in Business and speech pathology. I would finish my speech and business bachelor's about the same time but then i will go back and finish my speech pathology masters. Does having a business degree help.

It is beneficial if you want to be a rehab director, advance up the ladder in a healthcare setting, or go into private practice.
You'll be better off getting at least 5 yrs experience as an SLP before using your business degree to climb the career ladder, though. It is usually the minimum amount of experience to be considered a candidate for a management position.

Yes, I am currently enrolled in a Master's in healthcare administration program, as an occupational therapist. In all of my classes so far it has been the consensus that business courses should be required for therapies, physicians, etc since it is so important to know how to market your services, be part of the generation that will most likely have to do the work to create healthcare reform, business ethics, etc. I am only a third of the way through the program and already this new knowledge has impacted the way I do business.
