remember , if y = ln(f(x))
dy/dx = f'(x)/f(x) ln e
y = ln(3x^4+2x)

dy/dx = (12x^3+2)/(3x^4+2x) ln e
since ln e = 1,
dy/dx = (12x^3+2)/(3x^4+2x)
