I am arriving on Monday October 8th. at 8:45. Do you think that there is any chance of an early check in at the Luxor? If not, then I can leave my bags there right? Thanks

Since you're checking in on a Monday the chances are very good they will let you check in early.

It's very unlikely that the Luxor will be full on a Sunday night > unless there is some sort of special event. >The room rates are lower that week than they are the two weeks before or the three weeks after, so they must not be all that busy.

Let them do you a favor. 1st off I would have let the reservations agent at the Luxor know that you were coming in early.

If they don't have a room ready you can leave your bags at the bell desk(tip them $1-$2 a bag when you claim them) >Even if they don't have a room ready at that time, they can still check you in. You can then pick up your room key later without waiting in a long line.

Hint: It never hurts to ask the desk clerk if they have a complimentary upgrade available - The Pyramyd Spa Suites are very nice(that would be an awesome upgrade) - If you're staying in the Pyramid and would like a strip view room, ask for a room on an upper floor facing North. >They should have extra rooms on a Monday, your chances for an upgrade are very good.

The Tower rooms are slightly larger and a little nicer, but they don't really have what I would call a strip view. You can get a room with a nice view of the mountains.

>If your plane arrives at McCarran at 8:45am don't expect to get to the Luxor before 10am.

>If you do travel light(carry on luggage only) you could take the #109 Maryland Pkwy South CAT bus out to the SSTT then transfer to the Deuce to get to Luxor. >A cab will run you about $12 the bus is going to cost you $3($2.50 for a 24hr CAT pass then an extra .50c for the Deuce)

To take the CAT go to "Ground Level Transportation 0" which is on your right as your approach baggage claim.

The #109 Maryland Pkwy "South" bus stops at McCarran
8:50am
9:05am
9:20am
9:35am
9:50am
the 109 takes 8min to get to the SSTT, the Deuce leaves the SSTT about every 5 minutes(8 minutes is the maximum) - Luxor is only 7-8 minutes away. The bus stop is across the street(LV Blvd S) from Luxor though.

You'll probably not be able to check in *that* early at the Luxor. Normal checkin there is either 3 or 4 and that is a big convention week so they will be running either full or close-to; you can leave your bags, though, there is a baggage storage drop right next to the check-in desk. It doesn't hurt to try to check in when you get there, just don't get your hopes up.

Call the hotel to see if early check in is possible (it usually isn't, as they have to turn over a room). Most hotels have a secure area where you could store your luggage until you check in.

Best advice is pack light and buy what you need here (and not any where on the strip, the prices there are a rip off.) Do not leave anything unattended any where in Vegas if you want it to still be there when you get back.

why don't you ask the hotel instead of y/a to get the correct answer.
