prices. I want to earn some cash this fall and winter by raking and shoveling. But how much do I charge for each job? My dad says like 35 bucks for raking. Is he wrong? HELP ME!

Another way that you might come up with job quotes is to start with hourly and figure it out from there.

For instance: You have a job raking a medium sized yard and you quote the homeowner a rate of $10 per hour. Working consistently, you finish the job in two hours. Do this a couple times and see if that is a reasonable expectation of the time it would take you, and if the rate you are charging seems fair for your work. Then, if the answers are all yes, you could quote $20 for a medium sized yard from then on.

The only other avenue I could suggest is taking a look at the ad's in your area for the same type of work and using that as a general guideline. Good luck.

It really depends on where you live and what the going rates are. Also, how big is the yard.

You might take a little survey of family and friends, asking what they think is a fair price.

i would go with 10 bucks a yard. i use to do that and i got a lot of money doing it. but during the summers mow yards and charge 20 bucks. that is the best thing to do

If you work hard and do a good job they should give you
$10-$20

Depends on the size of the Job, Ask the customers what they think is a fair price, you will get more customers and I bet more money if it looks like their choice............########
