OK, this is the last one. What is the moon called that is visible for a northern-Hemisphere observer, looking into the south-eastern sky just after sunset?

Think of it this way.

The full moon rises at sunset.
A half moon rises halfway between sunset and sunrise (around midnight or so).

So if the moon rises after sunset (but before midnight) then is has to be between a half moon and a full moon.
We call that 'waxing' (meaning getting bigger) and gibbous (meaning more than half but not full).
