Wow - "cheesy 80s films" is almost kind of redundant do not you suppose? :) i am a child of the 80s, so there is tons of them - I need to keep away from the brat p.C. Films and the John Cusak movies (at an advantage useless, say whatever, one crazy summer time), as I decide on to consider they're more "cult classics" than cheese. They summed up my early life pretty good. For sheer cheese I present you the following: Ishtar Ghostbusters (1,2 and three) ANY movie with Corey Haim or Feldman (dream a bit dream, any person?) Splash Teen Wolf back To the long run Weekend At Bernies back To school Amazon ladies on the Moon bill & Ted's exceptional journey soiled Dancing and that i humbly offer my individual favourite of 80s cheese: Grease 2 -- come on, you realize you want to sing along - "let's do it for our nation...." ****** Dangit! How would I omit Soul Man?! Sheesh! ***** lovnrckets: You needed to be a 13 year historical lady in 1987 to appreciate the appeal of dirty Dancing, i assume. "no one places child within the corner!" ***** Edit: And no one recounted a Karate child film yet!!! Or Gremlins!! Ack! Vibrant mild! Vivid gentle! ***** used to be imaginative and prescient Quest the skateboarding movie, or the Wrestling film? I constantly get imaginative and prescient Quest and gleaming the cube harassed.....Does it subject? Oh, and Pump Up The volume!! Nobody recounted that one yet, both!!! Sookie: I haven't any recollection of Ice Pirates....

Did you grow up in the 80's for the most part we tend to like a certain genre of movies because we can relate to them. I connect mosty of movies made between 85-95 because that is when I they really had an affect on me and I could relate to the problems and dillemas that characters were going through. besides I always did have a huge crush on Molly ringrold.

The Thing and the Road Warrior.
Someone just like you was asking the same question 20 years ago about the 1960's movies.

Cheesy?! "The English Patient"? "City of Angels"? "Chariots of Fire" ? What "cheesy" movies do you mean? Oh!, those. Well, every decade had its cheap stuff. You should be more selective in your viewing. You could miss a lot of good stuff. And most of you obviously did.

When, We saw them for the first time, We were only in Our teens or, twenties. it's called feeling nostalgic. My parents, feel the same way about, the sixties.
I still get goose bumps every time that romantic classic, PORKY'S, airs again.
