My husband is aware that he has a body odor, it secretes through his sweat glands and it seems to be coming from internal and not external. The WHOLE upstairs of our house smells like him. Its a pretty foul odor and sometimes I cant stomach it. I love him with all my heart and soul but he prefers a body pouff over a washcloth and he doesnt scrub, he only wipes the soap gently over his body. How can I tell him that we need to cure the odor and he needs to wash vigorously with a washcloth and get rid of it.
What can I do, lastnight we were outside with the neighbors and I could smell him blowing in the air; so I know they could smell him. Hes the kinda guy you cant level with; he will blow up with rage and anger if I confront him and his feelings are hurt easily so whats another way to bring this to attention and a cure!!!???

I would have him go to the doctor. Actually, this could be a simple stomach or internal problem that could be fixed easily.
You really need to tell him...

"Honey, please don't get upset, but we really need to talk about this..."

Good Luck. I would leave if I had to.

The only people I know who suffer from this are over weight like 240 pounds up? so start cooking healthier meals for you both and start going out walking every night after dinner sheesh it's not rocket science is it?.

If he doesnt want to eat healthy and excersize then file for divorce under the listing of ignorant and self absorbed about his body odor I'm the sure the judge will get a cackle out of it , his temperament comes from being unhappy about his weight so if he isnt willing to get fit dont stay.

I'd say if he secretes it from his body a washcloth isn't going to help. Its a medical situation and he should see a doctor. As for the defensive rage, don't know how to handle that but I'd imagine that should be handled by another type of PhD, a therapist.
