When does life get better?

Question

Im sick of it to be honest. Im 21, I just got turned down from a police interview(like the fifth time) that i had to drive four hours to. I cant afford college, I have no decent friends, I cant get a girlfriend and to be honest it seems like I'm not good enough for anyone or anything.When does life get better? cause its sure sucking right now

You have to make your own life better. You need some get some self confidence. Maybe that police job isn't for you...what other type of work are you intrested in? Maybe you can afford college part time have you even filled out a fasfa yet?
If you don't like yourself noone else is going to like you. Take it easy and work on one problem at a time. Life will get better if you give it a little time.

Don't get discouraged. Everyone has tough times in their life. Do you have some bad history that you have to overcome, and is that why you have been turned down on your police department interview? Do you have the needed education to have applied in the first place? You don't say how far along you are in your education, but I think I would go to the nearest junior college and take some personality and intrest tests in the guidance office. I would also check back with the places that I interviewed with and speak frankly with them. They should be willing to give you some idea why you were not considered. Drug use, being in trouble with the law yourself, being above or below the weight limit and having poor refrences could all be your problem. If you are sincerely interested in a career in law enforcement I am sure you will find a place. You might even consider the military as many people take that route to find themselves, make a new start and get money for an education. God gives all of us "gifts" it is up to you to find what your are. Good luck.

That is a good question. I thought life would get better when I got out of High School, it didn't. Then it was going to get better when I turned 21, it didn't. Then it was going to get better when I got out of the Army, it didn't. Then it was going to get better when my daughter went to college, it didn't. The problem is that we set the wrong goals in our life. I have gone from an annual income of less than 10k a year to over 100k a year and it doesn't make a difference. I think the true secret is to find what makes you happy at the time and do that until it doesn't. Then find something else that makes you happy. Of course this is all my humble opinion and I could be wrong.

Welcome to life and this is as good as it get, if this is where you want to stop. You make your life what you want, and no one else can do it for you. It's not the last job in the world, and you can go to college or take up a trade, doing something you are good at or have some type of skill. Your life will fall in line if you set some goals for it, like check around and see if you can get a student loan. Look into jobs you may not like, to move up to something you do like. Life sucks from time to time, but we get back up and try it again, believe me there is life after, being knock down so many times, you my friend just get back up. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, just follow it, and things will get better, it all depends on you.

that`s life ...... u have to fight your path through it and take it`s challenges there will be always hard challenges but one day u will make it .... if u had the well to do it ... life will always be hard but it has also what really matter to keep us going so stick with those and that will help u
