it will be this : on the positive side, It will be a set of waves of a whose limit is from y= 0 to y=1 (they never reach 1). On the negative side they will be from y=0 to y=-1

I think you need sin, cos, or tan for waves.

I am not sure of the double brackets. What is that? Absolute value of a absolute value?

I do not see how you could get a wave out of this...
