Yes, & there's also been a bit of research on this "sense," especially in buildings; old houses & even newer structures as well. It isn't a presentiment; it's the feeling of something omnipresent within the walls, & so far, I've only heard of it, or experienced it as something that occurred in the past. I knew a woman who moved into a house that was bright & charming, no dark corners or closets, absolutely nothing to indicate--intellectually or visually--that anything was "wrong." The feeling persisted until she was compelled to move out. She learned after, that soneone had been brutally murdered in that house. One could say this was just a coincidence, but similiar things have happened too frequently for me to believe that it was. The difficulty in confirming credibility, is that it is considered in the realm of the supernatural, & from "hearsay." Extrasensory perceptions are still commonly scoffed.
Bane>Animals have a further evolved instinct about people; I always trust my cat to "warn" me about strangers. She'll hiss at some, & rub ankles with others, & she has never failed in her judgement.

I lived in a certain area for nine months and it was the most uncomfortable time of my life, nightmares most nights and a general feeling of needing to be defensive. I moved about three months ago no more than two kilometres away. The change was remarkable. This area is defined by a set of railway tracks. I still need to venture into that area from time to time and as soon as i get over those tracks i become very uneasy. I must also say that nothing ever happened to me in that area so there is no basis for it. I have also experienced the same feeling with people. One person in particular whenever he came to my door i would experience a feeling of dread. Funny enough my dog would also turn absolutely savage, snarling and jumping on the wire door. I actually moved to get away from this person because he would not take a hint. I actually asked him to not come to the house anymore and sure enough the next day he turned up.

Yes. To varying degrees I get feelings about most places and people. Sometimes it's very subjective and has to do with past memories of similar places, such as a hospital or a school. So the bad feeling is not really about the particular place, but more about what it reminds me of. I also know sometimes when I get the creeps from someone that it turns out I am totally wrong about my first impression. At work there was an equipment repair guy who I really felt a bad vibe about, but he turned out to be one of the nicest people and my impression of him completely changed.

Whenever one steps into unfamiliar places, there is often a feeling of unease and hesitation on the part of that person. Of course, even in familiar territory, there can be feelings of unease when something is out of the ordinary, no matter how mundane such an oddity may seem at face value. It is merely a defensive mechanism to prepare for the worst when walking into unchartered territory or unknown circumstances. One should take the time to get to know such surroundings (or understand the eerie situations in otherwise familiar territory) and only then would one be truly at ease.

I have had very strong feelings about certain places...not just the "wrong" places but also those of jubilation.....I believe that places retain a spiritual essence of actions words and thoughts in an atmosphere of sorts.
I think it's like a record keeping in the living memory...history of a place. A story board.
take it or leave it...."life" energy exists all around us

Yes. Sometimes with no apparent reason, but powerfully, whether in a built area or the bush. It's usually easier to see what makes one feel good about a place than what makes it feel wrong. I always feel bad in a city, being a country boy, but some cities are a joy, like Venice or Paris, or Amsterdam or Stockholm, Copenhagen, etc. I think it's because they are built at human scale, instead of being crowded with towering phallic symbols like cities built on the American model which seems disastrously wrong, oppressive, and claustrophobic to me.

Once some years ago, my wife and I were antique shopping. we were having a marvelous time and were looking at hutches and cabinets, had carved for Europe's turn of the century.
We had opened and inspected several and remarked on the workmanship and details.
Then, at the same instant, when we opened another, we felt a cold dread and ominous presence. I was shocked doubly because I could see she had felt the same thing. Then she described exactly what we both felt.
We don't have many of these experiences thankfully, but that was one.

We have this thrift Store, in my Town, which sometimes I might need to buy something in a Hurry, like Soap for dishes etc. so, I usually go there because they always have few People that go there to shop, so, When I was coming out of the store, it was starting to get dark, and as i was walking to my car, I noticed a guy walking towards the store, but coming my way. I felt a chill go through me, that my senses told me that this guy was not to be trusted, so I walked faster to my car, and this Guy walked faster, untill I reached my car but he was there also, I felt a premonition that he was Evil and was not to be trusted, I could not turn back or try to run because I felt that he would not let me. So, what I did was act like I had a gun and was going to use it, and I also prayed to the Lord to protect me from Harm, This guy asked me if I would give him a ride to where his car was because his wife was there waiting for him to ask someone for some money for the gas. I said I could not give him a ride, and he looked at me and said Thanks I understand, and he left. someone could have thrown a bucket full of water,to me, thats the way i felt. I also thank the almighty for being there for me.
