If you plug in 2.5 into the numerator and denominator, you will get 0/10, which is 0. The question is asking what will happen to the function when x approaches 2.5. The numerator dominates and the whole function approaches 0.

You gotta factor the top so that you get (5-2x)(5+2x)/(2x+5)
Now, you can cross out the common terms on the top and bottom, leaving you with (5-2x). Plugging in 2.5 gives you 0

just plug in 2.5, because it wont cause the denominator to be zero unless that was 2x-5

=(5-2x)*(5+2x)/(2x+5) = 5-2x= 0
I think it should be 2x-5 in the denominator so you get
=-(5+2x)=-10
