'Cause he knows which side his bread is buttered on.......in other words, when you get that "high" in the military, your chances of moving up in the organization depends on whose "butter" you kiss!

I don't know if he betrayed us. The one thing that bothered me about his speech was the way it started. It sounded like he was trying to convince the people that he received no information or any kind of insight from anyone and that it was his personal beliefs.
I have to admit that anytime I have started talks like that, it was because I was trying to convince people of something I didin't do.
I don't think Moveon.org should have used the slogan that they used. It would have been more appropriate to say something along the lines of "We feel betrayed by what he has said".

Be specific. There is no evidence that General Petraeus "betrayed" anyone. Your charge needs foundation and fact to attain credibility. This is tantamount to saying that Condi Rice will marry George Bush, after his divorce is final! To date, I find no evidence for either.

Beacause you are a sheep that is what you were told to believe by your masters at MoveOn.org.
The majority of us will follow the truth that is somewhere between your propaganda and whatever you define as the extreme right.

The only person he would Betray is you. Nahhh I can't honestly say that. HE is a man. He would never betray you. You are why he is a General. He wants to protect the future of our country, and little squirts freedom of expression. Anybody who thinks Bush et al forced a GENERAL to lie is ignorant!! And obviously doesn't know what a general REALLY is.

Is that your opinion or are you pathetically regurgitating the lame comments from moveon.org?
Do you actually know anything about General Patreus or the policy he put in motion in Iraq?

He was simply giving the testimony that his commander ordered him to. That is the duty of a military officer.

He's protecting our butts. The ones whom have betrayed us are the Libs that continue to bash our brave men and women in uniform. Sort of like yourself. No wait, REALLY like yourself.
