I do think this can happen when someone gets emotionally involved with internet dating or chatting.
My heart was not broken but tortured by words, lying, trying to hurt me because they were too much of a coward to say that they were involved with my boyfriend. The intentions were there. AND they were not good. This person did not break my heart but did things intentionally by writing about the love affair knowing I would read it than lied when they were confronted and claimed it wasn't them. Obviously someone who has no integrity whatsoever.

Yes it does happen! People meet & fall in love with someone they have never met in real life! When things don't work out it can be heartbreaking! I It really does happen & it did to one of the nicest guys I know! **

I'm hardened but yes it does happen alot. I try to never hurt people and I treat online relationships with sensitivity.

Yes, my heart was fractured. It was an online person who I've known for years. My heart has since mended, but I am always wary now.

no because this is the internet. sooner or later if u fall for someone your heart is bound to break. mine hasn't been broken. i haven't had hopes with anyone on here. sorry for all of you who have.

I'm not sure, maybe I met them afterwards and just didn't recognize them. I've had my hair cut by someone I'd never met.
