Which radar detector is better for me?

I am new to detectors, but I want an entry-level $30 detector. Which one is better, the Whistler XTR-140 or the Cobra XR-1050? Thanks alot!

Detectors are getting to be useless. Most law enforcement is using laser type and they are not detectable until the trigger on the unit is pulled. By then, it's too late.

How bout regulating your speeding habits. You might wind up like Nick Hogan who's family fortune is about to go down the drain cuz he was stupid and speeding with his friend he almost killed.
