i do. . i mean i look at all the things i wrote when i was still in grade and high school and it makes me laugh for the most part. there are, still, some things i still do and are the same with me, and some have changed. sometimes i feel, i don't know, uneasy when i read it, like there's this stuff about my crushes and boys. . .haha. . well, over those years that i wrote in my journal and from what i'm writing now, i can say i've grown and matured, and some of things i have developed in my life, and things that have come to grow in ym soul. yeah, it's nice to know what you've been doing for the early part pf your life. that's why i keep a diary. i want to know where i've been and how i've come to be where i'm at. it's keeps me on the ground. =)

Hi Rena,
When my son's partner had a baby they'd ask me about what he was like as a baby (comparing daddy and baby as people often do) and although I remembered a lot, it got me looking at my diaries from that time. My love for my children shone through and how having children had changed my life developing my maturity, sense of responsibility etc. But there was so much in my diaries of the time: the loneliness, aloneness, lack of being able to feel close to my family (who had a 'you've made your bed you lie in it' attitude) the financial hardship we went through and I think back now to that twenty year old girl who was just passed being a child and my heart went out to her. It really upset me reading those diaries and I was quite shocked too at how difficult my relationship had been with my parents and how isolated I felt as slowly they grew less distant as I grew older. I think that's why I'm so loving and supportive towards my kids ... I'd never let them go through what I went through ... but to get back to your question, it's probably good to keep a diary as we forget so much but be prepared for some sadness when you read them too!

Sadly, once I looked back at a journal I wrote and I was embarrassed for myself.
I burned it in the backyard.
At least I can say I've developed.

yes. i keep a record of my journals...i love to write usually about my feelings, thoughts and obeservations..sometimes i want to go back to who i was before, i read them...i laugh at those troubles that are so earth-shaking during those moments that im facing them. it is a source for a personal evaluation of then and now...its nice as well coz in the span of 8 years i realized through my journals how deeply i feel on things and that it is really worth noting important events in your life that others might take for granted coz you will never be able to go back...all you will ever have are the memories....

I actually found my journals from 14 years ago when I went home to bury my dad in 05, and it was a harsh reality for me, I was one messed up person back in those days, and how different I am now, it's like two different people, completely.

I have many wriiten journals and a life time of records recorded in my memories. I have changed many times throughout my journey. I truly enjoy who I have become and appreciate every obstacle that I had to overcome. I am a better survivor for having struggled over each one.

I do and those same things give me joy. The secrets were about the same person 27 years later. To get some time together is just as difficult as well

Yess, I hate examining my previous journals reason I constantly say the stupidest issues. yet I nonetheless examine em reason its exciting to snigger at your self. what's worse is examining previous emails I despatched reason i attempted so stressful to bypass away letters out of words. i presumed that made me so cool, ha. Oh and that i like it when I foreshadow events. I keep in mind writing approximately how i presumed it would be cool to grow to be associates with this guy and now we are like super close.
