Begin by looking up Capricornus in wikipedia.
Then find the names of stars and see entries on the specific stars.

Then look up names of other stars on the web (through Google or Yahoo)

Go to www.stellarium.org and download the program, Stellarium. It shows y ou where all the constellations are at all times of the year, you can choose your location so you know where to look to see them. It shows how far away everything is and shows galaxies and nebulas. It's a really neat program.
