My rule is: he has to be closer in age to me than to my children! It's a good rule!
Compatibility-wise, I prefer men close to my age, but unfortunately, so many of them are having difficulties in the "performance" arena, so I will also consider a man within a range of about 10 years younger. He has to be fully grown, though! No boys of any age need apply!

I don't really have a preference but the guy I have been with for the last 5 years is 7 1/2 years younger than me.

I prefer someone around my age, because you tend to have more things in common and enjoy alot of the same things, when the person is younger a person has to normally introduce them to things which can be a bit worrisome and when they are older they have experienced things in life and do not want to go back and do the things with you.

Someone around my age like that we could both do things together, have fun & enjoy eachothers company.
-When the person is older they've experienced things you haven't & might not want to hang out with you & your friends.
-If the person is younger then they might just be to immature.

I prefer about the same, but a little older or younger is fine! 9like 1 year, MABYE 2)
Although I've only had 1 date ever, so my preferances don't count for much!
