i mean, the really offensive questions, everyone sees them anyway, an those who wana answer it, answer it, an its not even removed for like two days, so whats the point? yahoo should just get rid of the report button. maybe they should do soemthing so oonly ur contacts can see or answer ur questions or something, an u can toggle it on and off. also unlimited fans, contacts, an blocked users, an u have to approve fans. that way we could all construct our own private answers system with the users we deem most helpful, or we could toggle it to "public can see my Q&A" or "my contact list only" or "contact an fans only" at will

Yes I agree - that report button is just too big and inviting and easy to push.

If a question really offends you, you can e-mail customer care. That would cut out people with trigger-happy report-fingers.

Your system sounds like it's modelled on Yahoo 360 ... yes there are times I would have liked to ask questions JUST for my contacts and sometimes NOT let my contacts see them ... a girl needs her privacy!

I don't think they should rid the report button completely;

if a pedophile is doing inappropriate things with Yahoo! Answers such as trying to establish connections with kids, graphic pornography is posted, or if illegal activity is going on - there should be some measure to do something about it

you've got a point about how people abuse the report function, especially for questions they just don't like

I think they should violate and suspend the people that abuse it!! They push that thing if they don't like your opinion or because your against Hate!! There are some things that a re offensive to me, I just move on, that's my choice, if I don't like it I walk away, people are over sensitive to things that they could just walk past without making a scene!! I always try to keep in mind that there are young people here whenever I am asking or answering questions!!

I have used Yahoo over a year now...I have never needed the report button...I have used the red flag button a couple times...but I barely will even do that any more...So, I don't see the point in having it at all really.

you're right sweet joey!!how many times have we asked for the removal of the report button?
i always said replace the report button with an ignore button!!yes,i would like it to have only my contacts see my questions,not that i don't want others to see[cause that's how you make friends]:),but the trolls have to be stopped from reporting and if they can't see your Q&A then they can't!!
i wish yahoo would do all that you say!
