in august'06 my ex and i opted to agree that i would have a psyche evaluation as a prerequisite to my having vistation rights to our 3 year old daughter. since that time, i've been facing financial difficulty which has hindered me from having this evaluation. I've been paying child support, but recently i recieved three payments back in the mail because her p.o. box (the only thing indicating the possible whereabouts of my daughter) had been closed with no forwarding address. Our daghter was born in california, but alaska was granted jurisdiction in this matter after my ex "fled" there, making false allegations of abuse and violence. It appears that she believes that she has no obligations to inform me of her whereabouts with my daughter. what are my rights at this point concerning basic information about my daughter? how do i formally request info abuot her? can i do so by contacting her attorney, or do i make a motion to the court?

You were probably ordered to make payments through the court. So send them there. You should see a lawyer.

You people cant be this nieve , go to a lawyer of your own give him the whole case file and story , explain it from your side of it and then see what he suggests.

Make a motion straight to the court. Rather you are ill, abusive or not paying child support (which I see that you are) she CAN NOT keep you away from your child.

see a lawyer .. like Monday morning... and do what ever the lawyer tells you to do..her lawyer will tell you nothing..because he is her lawyer.. you need one of your own.. even if you got to cash those child support check of hers to pay for one.. you will get back on track..

you need a lawyer. was she allowed to leave the area according to the papers that have been filed? Irregardless of her beliefs, she has to stay within the boundaries set in the existing papers. i wouldn't go this one without legal counsel

Her attorney won't talk to you. You can try the courts. Sounds like you need an attorney yourself.
