x^2 - 15x + 350 = 0

After that use Quadratic Formula!

a=1
b=-15
c=350

x = [15 +/- Sq.Root(-15^2 - 4(1)(350)]/2(1)

x= 7.5 plus 17.139 i
x = 7.5 minus 17.139 i

Bring the 15x over to the other side as a negative.

So, it looks like this:

x^2 -15x + 350=0

The quadratic equation states that:

ax^2 + bx + c = 0

So, substitute 1 for a, since x^2 is the same thing as 1x^2. Then negative 15 for b, then 350 for c.

The quadratic formula is:

Sorry, I can't type it all here, but go to Wikipedia, type in quadratic formula, and scroll down, you'll see it!

Good luck!

0=350-15x+x^2
quadratic formula:
x=(-b±√(b^2-4ac))/2a
x= (15±√(225-4(1)(350))/(2(1))
x= (15±√(-1175))/2
x= (15±5i√(47))/(2)

x= 15/2 +5√(47)i, 15/2 -5√(47)i

x^2 - 15x + 350 = 0
350 is too big
the root is imaginary

x ² - 15x + 350 = 0
x = [ 15 ± √(225 - 1400) ] / 2
x = [15 ± √( - 1175 ) ] / 2
x = [ 15 ± i √(1175) ] / 2
