Honey, read your own question..."the lowest level in recorded history"...There is a whole lot of history that went on prior to that...including tropical forests. I doubt that Barney and Fred were driving SUVs then...just their foot-powered cars.

If your premise were true, then they probably would be concerned.
However, your premise is completely false: the polar icecap is NOT at its "lowest recorded level in history". There are several historical accounts of significantly lower levels, prior to the mini-ice-age in the 1700s. And there is also much evidence of lower levels, in the geological record.
What confuses you is that accurate measurements have only been possible in the past two centuries -- after the reversal of the mini-ice-age -- and since that time, the levels have been receding back to normal. However, even without precise measurements (in millimeters, and by satellite), there is ample archaeological evidence of even warmer periods, both in recorded history and also in the geological record.

So what you are saying is your caveman ancestors had satellites to take measurements to prove this theory Right? Let me guess they build a huge sling shot to get it into outer space ! Since the rock satellite cant send signals back to earth they picked a guy with the best vision and strapped him to it ! Now that you have had a chance to see how stupid this sounds !!! Here's a reality check . Republicans worry about REAL threats like Terrorist or do Liberal Demotwits just want to give up there lives

The ice caps have been melting since the end of the last ice age. No I'm not concerned.
Have you seen how much fossel fuel democrats burn? Just as much as any republican.
This is not a political issue. It has been politicised but it should not be.

Maybe AL Gore could give up his private jet, his son's sports car ( the Judge will probably take care of that), and his big house. Oh wait, he is Democrat.
Yes those horrible Republicans have melted the earth.

Hmmm. Interesting choice of screen names there.
Also interesting choice of words: lowest RECORDED level in history.
That's called spin.
Approximately every 100,000 years Earth's climate warms up temporarily. These warm periods, called interglacial periods, appear to last approximately 15,000 to 20,000 years before regressing back to a cold ice age climate. ***At year 18,000 and counting*** our current interglacial vacation from the Ice Age is much nearer its end than its beginning.

The earth's temperature has gone up by 1 degree in the past 100 years. Does the cost of fighting "global warming" outweigh the benefits? Since we are talking 1 degree, I say yes.

No, as long as they are making money. They might begin to care when Florida is under water!
What is so interesting about it, and leave it to the monied, they are now trying to make an ocean passage for a shortcut they never had!
Nomad, YOU ARE responsible. You release carbon monoxide from all your jets and cars, and coal fired plants, while deforesting the world, leaving less trees to take care of the CO2 that is the cause of global warming!
If you think it is so healthy, drive yourself into a garage, close the door and leave your engine running!

Maybe it's a direct result of all that hot air you Democrats keep expelling. By the way, next time you're out putting around in your Prius, look in your rearview mirror. That H2 behind you will be me.
