Here's a good article about why leos bite. Is he new? Give him time to settle in, at least 2 weeks. Put your hand in the tank and let him crawl over it. Some reptiles do not like to be handled.

We need more info. Is he a new pet ? Is he a baby or an adult ? Is this the first time he has bitten you ? What were the circumstances that made him bite ?
