Does anyone have theme ideas for a spook house for kids under 17?

When my cousins were small, my Aunt would turn the basement into a scarey place for them (not too scarey). The lights would be out and they had to crawl around. There would be buckets of wet noodles and things like that that the girls would "accidently" put their hand in and squeal. Hairy things - like an old wig hooked to something so all they knew was it was hairy. Things like that shouldn't be too bad for a young child. Could be things inside boxes where they put their hands in the boxes but don't know what's in them. It could have a sign above it saying things like "Bat guts" for the noodles.
